What is the best class for me?
We want to make sure all of our students feel good in the class they are in. We have descriptions of each of our classes and suggestions for new students. Find those Descriptions HERE!
Do you offer Hot Yoga?
We are a non-heated yoga studio, our studio generally runs between 72-78 degrees.
I'm not flexible - can I do yoga?
Yes! In fact you are a perfect candidate for yoga. Many people think that they need to be flexible to begin yoga, but that’s a little bit like thinking that you need to be able to play tennis in order to take tennis lessons. Come as you are and you will find that yoga practice will help you become more flexible. This newfound agility will be balanced by strength, coordination as well as a sense of physical confidence and overall well-being. You don't have to be able to touch your toes, you just have to be willing to try!
I'm not fit - can I do yoga?
Yes, absolutely. There is no assumed level of fitness required for the yoga classes. You could be a couch potato or an athlete, yoga can benefit everyone. Yoga can help you gain a sense of physical confidence and overall well-being.
You can check out all of the class descriptions to get a feel what may feel appropriate for you!
How do I prepare for class?
Just bring yourself, in appropriate clothing (see below), and maybe bring a small bottle of water or refillable container. If you have your own props, feel free to bring them, but we do have ones you can borrow for free.
Arrive 5-10 minutes early to check in and settle in to the space.
What should I wear?
Some people wear baggy, loose fitting bottoms, sweatpants or shorts and a t shirt. Other people wear tight, stretchy leggings + tops. The only thing that matters is that you wear comfortable clothes that you can easily move and stretch in. It's good to have clothes that keep you cool when you are active in yoga, but you also may want a sweatshirt and socks, when the body rapidly cools down.
Do I need a yoga mat?
All the equipment, including mats, you need for class is provided. If you prefer to bring your own yoga mat that's fine too. If you want to also practice at home then having your own mat is a great idea, they are available from lots of places and I also have ones you can buy like the ones we use in class.
What if I am late for a class?
Ideally, please arrive a few minutes before the class starts. We have a 5 minute grace period, so if you come in late and class is already started, quietly get yourself settled. We will lock the door after this 5 minutes for the safety of our students.
How do I pay for classes?
To ensure your spot, please pre-register through our Momence system. You can pay with a CC or Direct Draft from your Bank Account.
Can I drop in to class?
If there is space in a class you may be able to drop in.
Is your studio fragrance free?
We are not a fragrance free studio, we do use essential oils from time to time as well as burning of incense.
