HOW TO PREPARE FOR CLASS

  • Please sign in and pay before laying down your mat.

  • Arrive 10 minutes before class begins to set up your space and get in the "zone". If you are a new student, come 15 minutes early to get set up.

  • Your 10 minutes before class is for quiet reflection and preparedness for your practice. We love chatting too, but there will be time for that after class.

  • Please leave personal belongings, including shoes, in the cubbies provided outside of the studio. Make sure to silence your cell phone!

  • Wear comfortable clothing that you can bend, stretch, move and possibly sweat in, and no shoes please!

  • Injuries or issues affecting your physical practice should be discussed with the instructor prior to class so they can modify the practice to your needs.

  • Please refrain from wearing perfumes or colognes. We use essential oil sprays during some practices for Aromatherapy benefits. Please notify the instructor of you have allergies to any certain essential oils.

  • Please stay home and take care of yourself if you have a contagious illness, we want you to get healthy faster so you can join us sooner!

  • If you must leave early, please take an early Savasana and quietly depart before the group Savasana. Please notify the instructor before class of your needs.

  • Most importantly, this practice is for you to grow, heal, change  and explore, we hope you find a home here at the studio and we appreciate your support. Honor yourself and your body and the rest will flow abundantly.

      Gentle Beginners

  • This mindful stretching and safe strengthening practice is designed to meet the needs of all levels and all students. This slower paced class is specifically geared towards increasing self awareness and general wellbeing through maintaining mobility, balance, left/right brain integration, mindful breathing and acceptance of the present moment. During class, clear concise modifications for postures will be reviewed as well as demonstrating the use of various support props to aid ease and comfort

 

  • Gentle Yoga

  •  This Gentle Yoga class is appropriate for those who want a softer, nurturing, slow-paced, well-supported and relaxing practice. The approach includes carefully orchestrated movements, controlled pressure, and well-measured stretches, including range of motion exercises. Postures will be approached in gradual steps, with plenty of time to focus on breathing and repetition so that the practice is simple to do and easy to remember. This class moves slower, so that each student gets ample attention from the Instructor, in order to make the student feel safe and comfortable. 

 

  • Slow Flow

  • The slower pace allows you to remain mindful of your movements, and to truly explore your body from the inside out. This class is a perfect class for all levels, as it will help new students with awareness inside the body and can assist more advanced students in slowing it down, breaking down postures and really getting deep into the practice. Class ends with a restoring Savasana, as well as a guided breathing and meditation practice to leave you feeling refreshed, the perfect way to start your day.

 

  • Vinyasa  & Flow Yoga

  • Flow Yoga is designed to help build strength and increase flexibility while focusing on the link between breath and movement. The class is moderately paced and is a great class for new students who are looking for a more active practice, while also being a challenge to more advanced students. The instructor offers modifications for all levels. Set to music, this class will revitalize both your body and mind. 

 

  • Beginners Yoga

  • This class is designed as an introduction to the yoga practice. Class is slower paced than an all-levels flow, and focused on developing clear and safe alignment in foundational poses. Come to learn, play, and breath in a supportive environment. You don’t need to be able to touch your toes; you just have to be willing to try.​

 

  • Power Flow

  • This class is great for those looking for a more challenging practice. The class aims to build strength, balance, flexibility and confidence. Power Flow integrates Body and Breath awareness by moving through dynamic poses while energetically connecting breath to movement. This class is great for those who have a beginners foundation and know basic poses as well as those looking to build their practice!

  • Yin & Yin-Storative 

  • In this class we celebrate our bodies and minds through relaxation! This is a passive practice where poses are held longer with the focus on the connective tissues of the body. Many postures are seated, but focus on the whole physical and emotional body. In this class you will be asked to engage with very little muscular effort, and invited to ask questions of yourself or your practice and settle into whatever responses you receive. This class is combined with gentle music and hands on assists from the instructor and guided meditation to aid in relaxation.

 

  • Stretch out Stress

  • In this class we begin with a gentle warm up flow, then transition into a relaxing Yin Practice. Yin is a passive practice where poses are held longer with the focus on the connective tissues of the body. Many postures are seated, but focus on the whole physical and emotional body.   • Kundalini Yoga

  • Kundalini Yoga is called the Yoga of Awareness. It is a dynamic, powerful tool that is designed to give you an experience of your soul.In Kundalini Yoga we harness the mental, physical, and nervous energies of the body and put them under the domain of the will, which is the instrument of the soul. This technology precisely and consciously combines breath, mudra (hand postures), eye-focus, mantra, body locks, and postures to balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous system, expand lung capacity, and purify the blood. It brings balance to the body, mind, and soul. Kundalini Yoga is a yoga for people who have to cope with the daily challenges and stresses of holding jobs, raising families, and managing businesses. It is a path for everyone who wants the skills to cope successfully with the challenges of our times.

 

  • Restorative + Reiki Healing

  • This class is the perfect way to close your day and to restore your mind, body and spirit. We begin with simple grounding breath techniques to allow your energy to calm and prepare for restoration. The poses are gentle and passive, using props to create a sense of safety and comfort. Hands-on assists and energy healing are offered to those who would like to receive (you may opt out anytime by simply flipping your "hands-on" card to Yes or No). The instructor offers Reiki energy healing to the entire class both hands on and off. Reiki is the channeling of universal energy through the hands. This is a gentle and yet powerful way to guide and receive energy. Reiki is suitable for all, and is a wonderful way to help relax and release stagnant energy or emotions. 

  • Restorative + Yoga Nidra

  • Complement your yoga practice, address injuries, open your body and relieve the stress of modern life with this restorative yoga class. This class uses passive gentle poses with props to comfort and cradle your physical body.
    The Yoga practice will end with Yoga Nidra, a gentle guided meditation while the body relaxes in a comfortable pose such as Savasana.
    Yoga Nidra helps balance stress and anxiety, negativity and emotional fluctuations. The benefits to the Restorative and Yoga Nidra practice are endless.

 

  • Rock & Roll Vinyasa

  • This class is designed to help build strength and increase flexibility while focusing on the link between breath and movement. The class is fun and moderately paced. It is a great class for all levels, while also being a challenge to more advanced students. Set to a different Band or theme each week, this class will revitalize both your body and mind. 

  • Shakti Naam Yoga

  • This class is designed to help build strength and increase flexibility while focusing on the link between breath and movement. The class is fun and moderately paced. It is a great class for all levels, while also being a challenge to more advanced students. Set to a different Band or theme each week, this class will revitalize both your body and mind. 

  • Chinese Yoga (Qigong) for Health

  • Qigong is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine to circulate qi or life force. This is accomplished through movement, breathing and meditation. Anyone can do it! Want to create a heavenly internal environment that staves off disease and restores a healthy body, mind and spirit? Come to qigong!

 

  • Yoga for 12 Step Recovery (Y12SR)

  •  Y12SR is an innovative mind-and-body practice that addresses addiction relapse prevention. Y12SR combines the practical tools of the 12-step program of recovery with the physical and spiritual practices of yoga.Y12SR pairs a traditional 12-step-based discussion group and a physical yoga practice and is open to anyone and everyone dealing with addiction — their own or the addictive behavior of others. It is an open and inclusive group. All “A’s” are welcome. 
    All levels of yogis welcome as the yoga portion is done at a slower, restorative pace.
    We do not charge to participate in Y12SR. Meetings are offered to the community by donation.
    Donations are divided between the host facility and a non-profit serving the recovery population in our community.
